The Romanian Academy represents the highest national scientific forum, with the role of regulating the scientific ethics, elaborating treatises and monographs of major scientific value, studies and applied researches of great socio-economic impact and of ensuring compliance with the quality of the scientific act. By its research activity, the Romanian Academy – Iasi Branch is an institution of public interest and of national strategic importance, which has provețn and validated until now its own capacity of contributing to the socio-economic development of the North-Eastern Region. The Romanian Academy, Iași Branch runs projects of fundamental, applied, and exploratory research in domains of high interest both nationwide and regionally, projects which are state funded or benefit of outsource funding.
