December 17th has been a great day for urban agriculture for circular cities and municipalities. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) hosted an E-dialogue gathering 130 participants from 40 countries, interested to learn more and exchanging experience and insights in successful urban farming policies and initiatives. This event has been organized in cooperation with the H2020 project FoodE and in collaboration with the sister actions Fusilli-project.eu Urban Food Planning Cities2030 Project, #FOOD TRAILS, Foodshift2030, and #FoodLand. In the break-out room dedicated to the Agricultural Parks, the Università Iuav di Venezia partner in Cities2030 Project, supported the presentation of the case study of the Comune di Cavallino-Treporti where a Green Table engages in policies development and implementation, farmers, earth fish farmers, and local administrators who foster initiatives to increase agriculture in terms of land protection, introducing as well new practices and new products in cooperation with some restaurants in Venice to connect tourism in the lagoon with the agriculture on the mainland.
