Today, on the 30th of May 2022, within Food for Iași Living Lab, there was a working meeting organized by Iași County Directorate for Agriculture, Iași Cityhall, and the Romanian Academy, Iași Branch.
The primary result of the meeting was organizing the event known as Iași in Traditional, Organic, and Mountain Dishes in the Exhibition Park of Iași, on the 8 and 10th of July, 2022.
Certified producers (such as organic, traditional, mountain, PGI, PDO, and TSG) from all counties of the North-East Development Region will be invited to take part in this event.
The event will be organized for promoting certified products of Iași county and the North-East Development Region and will address the consumers of Iași municipality.
The event will engage several activities, such as introducing the certified producers from the 6 counties of the Region, a presentation of the certified products, and gastronomical workshops for children.
The event will be hosted under the umbrella of Evenimentul Food for Iași Living Lab and represent a collaboration between Iași Cityhall, Romanian Academy, and Iași County Directorate for Agriculture.
At the same meeting, other ideas for future events were launched. Just to name a few: a festival of the main villages from the metropolitan area, theme meetings with local tomato and garlic producers who are beneficiaries of support governmental programmes.
