A workshop on Gender and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in Cities2030 Labs

A workshop on Gender and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in Cities2030 Labs

Thursday, April 27, 2023

In this workshop, we explored the critical role of gender and RRI in shaping urban innovation, specifically in the context of food systems.

Through 12 inspiring stories of change in City Region Food Systems, we delved into how gender and RRI considerations can drive innovation in food systems and contribute to more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable cities.

The aim was to hear from diverse voices, learn from unique real-life examples, and engage in thought-provoking discussions on the intersection of gender and RRI in Cities2030 Labs.

The interactive workshop took place online in TEAMS on 27.4.2023 at 10-12 CET.  Altogether nearly 30 people participated. They represented well the voice of the consortium partners.

The workshop participants’ observations, thoughts, insights, and feedback are resources for work package 2 official project deliverables.  They confirm, complete, and even validate the findings of researchers Sam Van Damme and Terhi Välisalo.

Empowered and supported by consortium partners, the researcher may now launch the last mile and finalize their deliverables.

Both researchers,  Sam and Terhi, used Jamboard as a co-creation platform.  The below two screenshots give an example of the delved topics.
